Noel Enyedy, Director

Dr. Enyedy's program of research is best described as the study of cognition, learning and the development of mathematical reasoning in applied settings, primarily in technology-rich classrooms. He seeks to reconcile cognitive and sociocultural theories, while considering individual cognitive processes, external representation, and social discourse—not as separate factors, but as interdependent aspects of learning and development.

Amanda Getty, Assistant to the Director
Amanda holds a B.A. in Modern Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She has worked internationally as a researcher, writer and editor, and believes that research and inquiry are what empower us and make our world richer. In addition to providing administrative support for the UCLA Lab School Research Office, Amanda works as a staff member on a current research project at CONNECT that seeks to develop a professional development tool for early grades elementary school science teachers.
